Our Master's DUO Competition was sponsored by the

This DUO team is Amazin' Walter
and his daughter, Christy McDonald of South Padre Island, Texas.
They were sponsored by the Beachgate CondoSuites and Resort, one of our
major sponsors.
The sculpture is called "Door Is Always Open" and featured a 10
foot tall main castle connected with many smaller castles and included
over 85 arches of various sizes. Amazin' and Christy are well known
for their "Amazin'" castles and arches.
This sculpture won the
Peoples Choice Award for the public's favorite DUO sculpture.

| The DUO team of Mark Chapman,
Portland, Oregon, and Bill Dow, Billings, Montana, created this warrior on
a horse, fighting a fire breathing dragon. "The Dragon
Slayer" was sponsored by Bilmore & Son Hardware & Tackle.
Their sculpture won Third
Place in this DUO Competition.

| DUO team Meredith Corson and Dan
Doubleday, Treasure Island, Florida created "And On The Seventh Day
He Rested."
Meredith was sponsored by Woody's Sports
Center and Dan was sponsored by Life In Paradise.
God is sitting in a large wooden chair
holding the puppet strings to a girl puppet and a boy puppet.
The puppet strings have been cut.
Beside God's chair is a chisel, hammer, and lathe. While God is
asleep, the girl puppet is handing an apple to the boy puppet.
Dan
& Meredith's sculpture won First Place in this 2-person DUO
Competition.

| Lucinda Wierenga, AKA Sandy Feet
joined Kirk Rademaker to create "SUR - REEL."
Sandy was sponsored by Texas Island
Properties and Kirk was sponsored by Port Aransas Realty.
Feet is from South Padre Island, Texas and Kirk is from California.
"SUR - REEL" is a delightfully
strange mechanical fish on a railroad track that runs into a fork, knife
& plate. There are fish hooks, corks, and fishing line and the
fish is powered by a complex mechanism complete with bolts, cogs, pullies,
and cables.
"Sur
- REEL" won Second Place in our 2-person DUO Competition.
