Coveted Befress Award:  SandFest is a fund-raiser for our community.  The master sculptors help us by having a separate contest trying to each raise the most money.  The contest is called the "Best Fund Raising Sand Sculptor"...or BFRSS...pronounced BeFress.
To make sure that it gets all the pomp and ceremony it deserves...we added the words "The Coveted" to the Award's name....it is all in fun and the sculptors each had a donation jar and sign explaining the contest in front of their plots...the sculptor who raised the most money was given a crazy-silly necklace with a little plastic bucket hanging from it, filled with paper monopoly money...which they wear with honor.  Just a bit of SandFest fun...and it is for a good cause.
